All Playhouse Day Nursery staff are subject to Criminal Records Bureau clearance through Ofsted and undergo extensive background checks and interviews before employment commences.

Once employed all staff will given opportunities to access on going training regardless of any outside factors (i.e. family commitments, money issues).

Our minimum ratio of staff to children is as follows:

• Babies (up to 2 years of age)     1 adult to 3 children
• Toddlers (2-3 years of age)        1 adult to 4 children
• Pre-school (3-5 years of age)     1 adult to 8 children
• School (5-8 years of age)          1 adult to 8 children

All the children in each room will have some kind of written information informing parents/carers of their child’s day.  This will vary depending on their age.

All children will have their own key worker who will be responsible for passing on any information about your child’s day.  They will also record and keep evidence of each child’s individual development and progression.
